Indications & Dosage

Ajaduo 25/5 is a combination medication containing empagliflozin (25mg) and linagliptin (5mg). Empagliflozin inhibits the sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) while linagliptin inhibits dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). This medication is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to help improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Furthermore, empagliflozin, one of the active ingredients in Ajaduo 25/5, is also indicated for lowering the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

However, there are certain limitations to using this product. It is not recommended for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus due to the increased risk of diabetic ketoacidosis. Additionally, there is insufficient data on its use in patients with a history of pancreatitis. Finally, it is not advised to use this medication to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of less than 30 mL/min/1.73 m2.

Ajaduo Dosage:

It is important to evaluate renal function before starting and as needed. The suggested daily dosage for Ajaduo involves taking 10 mg of empagliflozin and 5 mg of linagliptin in the morning, with or without food. The dosage can be raised to a maximum of 25 mg of empagliflozin and 5 mg of linagliptin per day.

ajaduo 25 5 tablet price

I have been taking ajaduo 25/5 for about 5 months. I’ve lost 25kg without trying. My blood sugar is much lower, I’m never hungry, don’t crave anything sweet and full eating small portions. Much better then other type 2 meds. God bless
