Rosuvastatin can be taken orally with or without food at any time of the day. Dosage should be adjusted if necessary based on LDL-C levels, assessed as early as four weeks after starting treatment. Adult dosage ranges from 5 to 40 mg once daily. Dosage for pediatric patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia ranges from 5 to 20 mg once daily, depending on age.
